Entrance Door Handles and Accessories
The handle and pull handle of an entrance door not only make everyday use more convenient, but are also a defining element of the door's appearance. In addition to traditional door handles, various pull bars in different designs and lengths are available as a modern, minimalist solution.
When selecting the handle, lock and other accessories, we consider not only the design of the door, but also security, ease of use and individual requirements.
Pull Bars and Door Handles
Instead of traditional door handles, entrance doors can also be fitted with pull bars in various designs. Pull bars are available with round, square or rectangular cross-sections, as well as in various lengths and finishes.
Pull bar solutions are particularly well suited to modern, minimalist entrance doors, and also provide an elegant appearance for larger doors or doors combined with glass surfaces.
We can help you choose the right handle so that it harmoniously matches the design of the door and the style of the building.
Locks
One of the most important elements of entrance door security is the appropriate locking mechanism. Depending on the design of the door and the desired level of security, several solutions are available:
- 5-point lock – locks the door at multiple points, providing greater security and more stable locking;
- MABISZ-certified locks – available in 1- or 2-cylinder versions, depending on the specific door and security requirements;
- electric lock – a convenient solution for doors where electrical control is also a consideration;
- roller lock – a particularly practical choice for entrance doors with pull bars, as the door can be conveniently opened from the outside using the handle;
- biometric – door locks that can be locked and unlocked using a fingerprint, often featuring a PIN code, smartphone application and an emergency mechanical key.
Optical Peephole
An optical peephole can be a practical accessory for an entrance door, allowing you to check who is standing at the door without opening it.
Door Closer
A door closer can be a convenient and practical accessory for entrance doors fitted with a pull bar and roller lock. The sliding-arm, oil-damped door closer ensures that the door closes in a controlled and safe manner after opening, also eliminating unwanted door movement caused by drafts.
Opening Sensor
Entrance doors can also be fitted with a built-in opening sensor. This allows the window or door unit to become part of the security system, providing immediate feedback when the door is opened.
This type of solution can be particularly well combined with the AJAX security systems we install, allowing the window and door units and the security system to operate in coordination.
Bottom Sheet Reinforcement
For additional reinforcement of Colorplast HPL entrance door panels, a 1.2 mm thick metal insert, known as bottom sheet reinforcement, is also available. The reinforcement increases the stability and resistance of the panel, thereby contributing to the durability of the entrance door.
Which Solution Should You Choose?
When selecting the handle and accessories for an entrance door, it is worth considering the appearance of the door, frequency of use, security requirements and convenience factors alike.
A traditional handle is a practical and proven solution, while a pull bar provides a modern, minimalist appearance and convenient use. For doors with pull bars, a roller lock can be a particularly practical choice, while for higher security requirements, a multi-point or certified locking mechanism should be considered.
We can help you choose the right accessories so that your entrance door is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also a secure, convenient solution tailored to your individual needs.
